I have been interested in dentistry since an early age, so I never doubted what to study. After grammar school at Črnomelj Secondary School, I enrolled in Dental Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, in 2018, where my interest grew into the profession I now practise with great enthusiasm.
During my studies I wanted to connect theory with clinical practice as closely as possible. For three years I worked as an assistant at Oasis Dental, where I saw everyday clinical work, modern treatment approaches and the importance of a good relationship with the patient at first hand. Alongside my studies, I regularly attended congresses and courses, expanding my knowledge beyond the lecture halls.
Dentistry is constantly evolving, so it is important to me to keep pace with it. I want to keep expanding my knowledge, learning about new materials and modern treatment methods, and incorporating new findings into everyday clinical work.
I believe in a comprehensive, individual approach to every patient. My goal is not only to solve individual problems but to understand the condition of the whole oral cavity and, together with the patient, find long-term solutions for health, function and an attractive smile. I also pay particular attention to making patients feel safe and relaxed in the surgery. I want to dispel the persistent belief that a visit to the dentist has to be painful, and show patients that modern dental treatment can be comfortable and pain-free.
I also believe that the best dental treatment starts before you enter the surgery – at home, with a toothbrush and dental floss. Good prevention, the right habits and cooperation between patient and dentist are, for me, the foundation of a healthy smile that lasts a lifetime.
